Librarian Lil is shy and timid, but through the books the customers in the library take out, she lives out her fantasies and discovers he inner heroine. The stories of a detective novel, dinosaurs and greek myths alongs with Lil's own voyage of self discovery are told through mask, puppetry, dance, live music and shadow.
An enthusiasm for words and the journeys they can take us on is imbued onto the set with letters cascading and pages fluttering across the stage. The set was designed to be as agile as the performers, jumping between the library and story worlds.
